The City of Phoenix Prosecutor's Office is one of the largest municipal prosecutorial agencies in Arizona. It is undertakes the prosecution of misdemeanor offenses that occur within the city of Phoenix. The office handles more than 50,000 cases every year. The City of Phoenix Prosecutor's Office handles various prosecution cases of crimes, such as impaired driving, assault and domestic violence, shoplifting, criminal damage, hit and run, trespass, prostitution, suspended license and contracting without license. It is staffed with over 150 personnel, including attorneys, legal assistants, victim advocates, secretaries and legal clerks. The office includes appeals, charging, training and trial bureau, as well as diversion, domestic violence, technology and victim services units.
