I have been taking my dogs here for years. They come back cool to the touch in 118 degree weather. They make sure all the dogs have water, shade, and are well cared for. My childhood dog has severe separation anxiety and can be pretty tough, but Alta Vista cared for him so well that he wasn't even limping anymore (he had a slight limp before). My dogs go for the daycare and they absolutely love both the staff and the dogs there. Dion the trainer is amazing, and makes sure his facility is top knotch. Both my pit and my pomchi come home happy and tired every time. 💖 👌

Boarded my dog for one day. He came home limping due to the pads of his feet being severely torn/burned. They say they have no idea how this happened. How do they not know? Furious. I hate to be this person, but this is not ok and something needed to be said. I am not the first person to have unexplained occurrences happen at this place. Be cautious.

First off, I would like to say that the trainer is great. Now, on to what I have a problem with. We took our rottweiler in for a private obedience session. Again, the trainer was great and she helped allot. 5 days after our rottweiler went for training, she came down with kennel cough. She has been vaccinated, but apparently the is a vaccine resistant strain in that facility. Our rottweiler has now passed it on to our other dogs, including our 6 week old chocolate lab puppy. They DID NOT want to see Princess' vaccination records, which makes me wonder if they check the vaccination records on the dogs they board. Do not take your dog here, maybe arrange a home training session with the trainer, but stay away from the facility. We now have 3 sick dogs (all vaccinated for bordetella), because of a vaccine resistant, bacterial strain of kennel cough that the staff seems unaware of.
