Installation was fine when it was done 8 years ago. Follow up on a small issue was going to cost me over $1000 because they would not cover it under the 10 year warranty. Even worse, their management puts the responsibility of trying to explain and quote terms of the warranty to me when they have no idea what they are taking about. Management is no better, was denied coverage under their own ACE Warranty and was going to be charged for fictitious exclusions that do not exist in writing or in the contract. I requested a copy of the exclusions but never received one.
I had to ask the service tech to leave 3 times before he finally left.
Ended up getting unit repaired for less then $200.
TERRIBLE company. Sales is their focus,,, not service and certainly not following the terms of their own contract & warranty. They deserve No Stars in my opinion.

Had ace home services come over to look at my ac unit that was freezing up causing the house to warm up. Stuart the tech looked at it and replaced the start up capacitor for the blower fan in the air handler unit. I left the house for the evening and came home the next day to the ac frozen up again. I called the tech back over and he said the Unit was stuck on. He then went outside to the condensor and pulled on the contactor and jostled the Unit hard!!! The condensor started leaking. Stuart says "well there's your leak" (remember it was frozen up before and he found no leaks the previous day) now the condensor is leaking and Stuart tells me I have three options #1 replace the entire system $9000 but will discount it to $7000 #2 replace only the condensor/compressor assembly $3500 #3 repair the leaking condensor $1500 but no guarantees that it will be fixed. This is all very suspicious so I called another company that came out and repaired the leak for $300 including replacing the dryer and recharging the system. The tech found the system stuck on and then had to diagnose the issue, he found a jumper wire had been placed across two terminals on the circuit board intentionally causing the ac compressor and blower fan to stay on at all times. Shame on Ace home services! The system was repaired with the original repair but they created a new concern in an attempt to sell a a/c system. Ultimately it cost me another $378 I will be sure to tell everyone that I can about my poor experience with ACE home services.

I currently live in Utah and my wife and I have a home in Arizona that is currently be rented out. Recently our tenants advised us of some ongoing issues with the AC Unit on the home. After doing some research and talking to a couple of different companies we finally decided to do our business with Ace. I was very satisfied with their service they provided me and the residents of our home. They were very professional, and also very understanding in the situation where we could not be present for the repairs as the home owners. They also did me the extended courtesy of keeping me and our current tenants in the loop with what was going on and what needed to be done. All in all I am very pleased with the customer service and professionalism from all the staff members that I encountered in handling my business with ACE.

My experience with ACE was a positive one. i scheduled a tune-up with them and everything went great. The technician showed up within the scheduled time frame & was knowledgable and courteous. I was satisfied with the ACE and would recommend them to anyone!!!

Shaun (Sean) was the plumber sent to my home...and what a fantastic job he did. His excellent workmanship, wealth of knowledge, courteous, and professionalism! He represents this company well! He came in and capped off leaking copper plumbing, and did such a neat job of removing all the old stuff. Thanks! I will definitely call ACE Home Services again!

I had to have another tune up this year on my AC unit and again ACE AIR did a great job. The tech was on time and walked me through the entire process. It was great to have him there to answer my questions and he showed me ways to save on my AC bill this summer. Thanks again ACE AIR.

Worst customer service I have ...

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Last year I had them out 3 times to fix an intermittent problem with my A/C unit, and they damaged my new roof in the process. They charged me for every service call, and replaced several hundred dollars worth of parts. When they couldn't fix it, they blamed the roofers, then my programmable thermostat (it ended up being a $25 capacitor that I later diagnosed and fixed on my own). I disputed the credit card charge and my CC company ruled in my favor. Now, almost 2 years later, they turned my info over to a collections agency. They have been a nightmare and were rude and accusatory every time I tried to talk to them about it.

By far the Worst Choice EVER!!...

By far the Worst Choice EVER!! I had them over to fix the heat, they fixed it alright - they hardwired it on at all times. So when it was time to cool the house, the air would cool and then the hardwired heat would heat the already cooled air! House never went below 85 all summer. Guess how much SRP likes that? Normally your daily kw would be between 30 - 50 but mine was over 300kw per day. So I got to sit in the heat all summer - pay $300 for Ace to break it, pay $700 to get it fixed and then oh yes $1000 per month to SRP for June, July and Aug. I called Ace and gave them proof of their mistake and asked for them to split the SRP bill- and they offered to come out and fix it again. Are you kidding! How am I going to feed my son! Never ever use this company! You can't afford it!!

Great customer service

I usually do not take out time to write reviews but my tech from ace air, Jason H. was so nice and efficient. When my Ac went out I was a little leery about hiring an Ac company because I have gotten bad service from other companies in the past. I must say I was plesently surprised what great service I received. My service tech, Jason H, was kind, patiently explained the problem to me and I have not had a problem with my Ac since. Thanks!

over memorial weekend my ac went out. i called to companies who gave me outlandish quotes and teeling me that i needa new system because my wires were fried. I went to servicemagic.com and with minutes got a call from KJ who sent a tech Mike the next day. i had been advised the the compressor was shot and need a new one so the only info i gave was that serial nunber and mdel to KJ. Gave me an unbeatable quote and deal. when mike came out he was honest in telling me the 2 wires that were nutted together had came undone. he serviced my ac and had it on within 20 minutes. honesty goes a long way in my book and they will gain my loyalty. My air conditioning stopped working. It was actually blowing warm air out of the vents through out my entire house. I did a search on the internet and found ACE AIR and gave them a call. I had to get this working quickly due to my wife's elderly mother lives with us and it was almost a 110 degrees outside. They said it could be an hour or two. With my home heating up so quickly, I really needed the ac looked at and I grabbed the appointment. I was surprised when they called me about 30 minutes later and told me a technician was on their way to my home. The technician arrived, introduced himself as Harold in a very polite way. He started his check of my ac and found my coil inside was leaking freon in several places and needed to be replaced. I was worried at this point for an expensive repair but I was delightfully surprised when he told me that my ac was under warranty and I was only to be charged labor, A big sigh of relief. Then he gave me the quote for the repair and I found it reasonable. I explained my situation Harold and he made a call to their General Manager and gave me a further discount to help us out during this crisis. This was a very good thing Ace Air was doing for their maintence contract people.. I asked Harold, How soon could this be fixed and he began the repair immediately, he called his office and a short time later a coil was delivered to my door. He did the repairs in about 1.5 to 2 hours. He even gave me a 1 year maintenance agreement with my repair and a 1 year labor warranty on this repair. I paid the final bill and thanked Alex for his expertise and thoroughness. I would definitely recommend this company to all my friends and family. I began telling all of my friends and family about Ace Air. Come to find out a friend had used their services and was just as pleased as I was, small world. A couple of weeks have gone by and the AC has never worked better in our home. With the high quality of service that I received, reasonable prices and their professionalism, I have to rate Ace Air with 5 stars, they have definitely earned it. From my family, Thank you!

I needed a a licensed and insured contractor for my HVAC for a new cafe I'm renovating and need these systems up to date and working in top condition and trying to find an affordable HVAC company with proper licensing that does commerical work has been a bit of a trick, but after firing the last company when their guys couldn't bother to show up and do the work, I hired Ace Air and they got the work done right, made sure everything was up to code, and their rates were fair. I've got warranties on the parts they used and they were very good at keeping their work area tidy and never had a problem with them being late or pulling a couple of no-shows. I was well informed of everything that was going on - each step of the way.

2.5 years ago a tech came out ...

2.5 years ago a tech came out to look at my 2 year old Trane unit. They replaced the motor and sold me on a Preventive Maintenance program so they come out once per year to check the unit & do a tune up until 2015. 5/14/11 they came out because the unit stopped working. The tech said the motor was toast & fan blades damaged. He said (not knowing that their company had just been out months before) that whoever worked on the unit last was responsible for what happened because they moved the wires for the motor over so that the fan blades were hitting them. This caused serious damage & burn to the fan blades & it's what caused the motor to go out. The last person to touch that unit was the tech from Ace Air that came out to do the preventative maintenance a few months ago! Then they try charging me $968 for the new motor & fan blades. 1st of all my motor was under warranty since they just replaced it 2.5 years ago & 2nd of all they're telling me that their tech that came out a few months ago is the reason anything happened to the unit. It took an hour & a half of the tech going back & forth with the office just to try & resolve it. They tried to ignore everything that my Preventive Maintenance contract promises (lifetime warranty on parts replaced, 20% off of new parts, & labor rates) which is what took so long. I ended up paying an agreed price for fan blades & labor. When they called to schedule the time to replace the fan blades we discussed what the tech said. After calling the tech they came back & told me they would not charge me for the fan blades (which I had already paid for on 5/14). After never receiving a credit I called & they told me that they didn’t owe me a credit because the invoice showed that I only paid for labor. So basically after talking to me & hearing that I didn’t have a receipt they changed the invoice to show the same total but for only labor (at $98/hour more than my contract price). After about 3 weeks of going back and forth now, nothing is resolved. I have never dealt with such a unethical and shady company. I have a copy of a maintenance program that I purchased, yet they don’t want to honor anything it says in it. I would BEWARE of doing business with Ace Air. Every minute of my interaction of them over the last months has been horrible. It’s one lie after another with them. This should have been a simple thing & 2 months later I’m out $239. At this point I could care less about the money, people just need to know that they don’t honor the contracts they sell to people. There are many other AC companies in AZ, I would definitely skip doing business with this one!

I was so clueless about the hail damage that happened to my air conditioner. Ace sent someone out to take pictures and they talked to the insurance company. I work way to much and did not have anytime to deal with this issue. Thank you!!!

My husband said I should call these guys. I told him I wanted to call someone else. So we called both and got two opinions. The staff at Ace made us feel like we were in good hands. I will be sending them to my moms place. Her air conditioner in phoenix could use a tune up.
