My Daughter, who by the way is 12 has been getting her hair done here for the last past 2 yrs.and Matilda's have been doing an Excellent Job. Have sent her alone on two Occasions because of my handicap and the Women have taken Great Care of her hair and well being.👌

They were very welcoming and pleasant and work with my timeframe. I will definitely come here again.

So professional & nice! I had an accidental chemical spill on scalp which altered my hair texture etc.. The stylist was very compassionate and used her expertise to help me look my best after bad accident. I left shop and my head held high����

I got long twist today and they came out very nice my braided was Maggie and another young lady(I didn't get her name) I have a big head lol and they didn't seem to get frustrated with that! They were very welcoming and professional! I definitely will be returning!

This is my 2nd visit to Matilda's Braiding Salon. I was referred by my niece. It was a good referral. Maggie was my stylist. She's professional, quick, courteous and my Ghana twists look amazing and lasted a long time. I will be back...

I went to Matildas after looking at her web page and reviews. I must say the staff is very nice. I asked for small senegalese twist so the middle wouldn't be parted extra big. Okay they were extra big. I went back 3 days later and she fixed the middle with no problem. I explained and showed her how 80% of my twist were crooked and didn't look right. They were not neat and straight. The woman who did my hair said it wasn't nothing wrong with them and when she told the other employees they just didn't say anything. I'm walking around with all these crooked twist in my hair because i can't afford to take them out and go somewhere else. There was no need to argue about it even the new ones she put in are crooked. Matilda is very nice but I would never go back there and i don't recommend anyone to go there not for senegalese twist.

I went to get micro braids yesterday, and I am very please with how my hair turned out. Mathilda was very nice and gave me a consultation about my hair before service was performed. This was the first braiding shop I went to that doesn't treat you like a number. The service was excellent, and the staff were very nice and friendly. Sammy did my braids, and she took her time with making sure my braids were on point.

My braids are absolutely beautiful. Mathilda braided my hair in 5 hours and she even styled it in a bun. I am receiving compliments from so many people. Mathilda has a very nice personality and she instructed me on how to maintain my braids. I am very happy with the results and you would be also.

First, I would like to thank the owner Mathilda and the ladies in the braiding salon for a being friendly, patient, and fast. I had to return back to the shop to get my hair fixed. No extra charge. I absolutely love hair. I've had my Senegalese twist in over a month now and my hair still looks fresh. I finally found my go to hair braiding salon.

This shop is the most innovative braiding shop I’ve ever seen in south Philly. Excellent and easy appointment application to allow its clients to request services and the owner is kind and always enthusiastically welcoming her customers. Call anytime and she will receive you! She’s there for people: that’s a real customer service. From braiding to fixing or maintaining she makes sure that her braiders take care of you and sometimes herself. I like my kinky twist and I will definitely be back in two months. Great job Matilda and its Mhbsalon.com !!!!!!.

I researched several hair braiding salons and Mathilda's Hair Braiding Salon is by far the best one. I met the owner and she is very humble and sweet. Her staff is very professional and friendly. The environment is very home-like. The prices include the hair, style and color of your choice. Worth it and reasonable! I showed up after 4pm with no appointment and she still accepted me and did an excellent job. By the way, if you make an online appointment you get a discount.
