Major Let down in so many ways

Let me start at the beginning. We had "reserved" a mini van for our party but they didn't have one saved for us. This worked out OK this time just because they had a 12 passenger van available for us and they did give us a better rate because of our reservation. So all was not lost! But unfortunately when we were returning the car we were rushed because there were two shuttle buses waiting to leave and the first in line should have left without us but he rushed us into his van. I think it's because we were a big party and he was hungry for a big tip. He wouldn't let us touch our own luggage either loading it or unloading it. Because of that we lost one of our carry-ons somewhere between unloading it from the van and checking it in. I know this is so because we had to count the luggage to do the curbside check in and we had 8 bags but we didn't realize until picking our luggage up that we should have had 9. I am so upset and so annoyed with that greedy man. I realize this could have happened with other rental companies but I think this man was driven to this because this is a smaller company and he was hungry for a large tip! And now there is no way to get a hold of the office to try to talk to them because calling the yellow pages number doesn't help and there is no other direct line, for some reason there is no answer time and time again with this number. I wish we had gone with a more customer oriented company with better selection and better service...hope that's helpful for someone!
