Established in 1892, Cathedral International owes its inception to a nucleus of 35 African-Americans who were members of the predominately white congregation of First Baptist Church. It is an independent assembly offering various prayer and worship programs and services. The church has various ministries, including outreach music and worship arts, youth, college and young adult, Christian education, and security ministries. The church also offers ushers, hospitality and greeters, family and marriage enrichment singles, single parents, and senior citizens ministries. It additionally has cathedral productions, intercessory prayer, pastoral care, sister to sister, man to man, god's touch, discipleship, Spanish, and health care ministries. Cathedral International is located in Perth Amboy, N.J.
