Founded in 1938, the Heidelberg Distributing Company is one of Ohio s largest wholesalers, representing the finest suppliers of beer, wine, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages. In the 1950s, wine products represented a large part of Dayton, Ohio s sales. In 1959, the Anheuser-Busch branch in Cincinnati was purchased. The Dayton Budweiser distributorship was purchased in 1961. The Heidelberg Distributing Company is known throughout Ohio for its high-quality beverages and superior sales and service. Heidelberg has warehouse and sales facilities in Ohio and northern Kentucky serving more than 20,000 retail establishments. Through mergers, acquisitions and industry consolidation, Heidelberg has facilities in Dayton, Cincinnati, Perrysburg, Cleveland, Akron, Toledo and Columbus, Ohio, and in northern Kentucky.
