The Owens Center is an indoor ice skating facility that features full-size rinks and offers a variety of programs for individuals and families. Its amenities include free parking, skate rentals, group discounts and a concession stand, as wall as a room for community functions. The center also conducts classes in ice skating and hockey. Located in Peoria, Ill., the Owens Center operates a skate club that organizes specialty classes, including for dance and skating. The center also organizes hockey leagues for adults and youths. The center is owned and operated by the Peoria Park District, which was established in 1894. The Peoria Park District is governed a board of trustees comprised of elected volunteers.
