Boat’s has been a part of the Pella community since the late 19th century when the building housed Awtry & Lankema, a combined furniture store and funeral home. After narrowing the scope of the business to home furnishings (thank goodness!), the store became Boat’s Home Furnishings in 1938. Since then, we have earned the business the old-fashioned way - by listening to our customers and earning their trust. Not much has changed throughout the years. I’m Bryan Gaylor and I purchased Boat’s because it does what so few companies do: we get it right. What’s that mean? Different styles, unique pieces, new looks. All with a focus on the customer helping craft a look that works for them. And a professional staff to help you, not stalk you. I am a hands-on owner here to help you make your house feel at home. Pella is synonymous with class and quality. It’s found in the foods we make, the products we produce, and the furniture and flooring we offer at Boat’s Home Furnishings. And it’s been that way for as long as anyone can remember. In a world that’s becoming more disposable, Boat’s Home Furnishings is proud to offer you quality furniture and flooring that’s crafted for longevity. Numerous times, our customers come in to purchase new furniture because they are handing their former Boat’s purchases down to their children. We take pride in getting it right - right down to the stitch. But it doesn’t stop there. It’s not only our products that are designed to last. Boat's has been the customers’ choice for interiors and flooring for generations. I guess you could say our relationships endure like our products!
