This place is awful! We went there and they had a sign on the sushi bar that said that they would charge 50 cents for every piece of sushi that taken and not eaten and left on their customers plate--- AT A BUFFET!



Also, the staff is incredibly rude. The man who made the sushi had little to no sushi out on the bar, and the sushi that was there looked like it had been sitting there for awhile. When I asked if he would make another sushi roll for me he rolled his eyes when I tried to explain it and yelled at me saying, "just a minute!" I quickly snapped at him and went and told the manager- who I don't even think understood what I said.



We will NEVER be back. Don't waste your money on this place.

i.e., A local favorite, or highly recommended becauseI like the food; however when I went recently a service woman was extremely rude to me when I asked her very politely when the next batch of crab legs would come out as I was ordering to go and I was just standing there for at least 10 minutes waiting on them. I asked the service woman and she yelled "okay, okay, okay!!!!" as if I was getting on her nerves; it was very rude. Also, after waiting 15 minutes to get crab legs for my to-go plate, I was told it would be $8.99 additionally to the already $11.99 to-go plate that I was getting; that's pretty outrageous to pay all that. Again, the food is good but the service that I received is why that was my last visit to this particular china buffet. Actually, I was shocked because I normally receive good service there but I refuse to pay for anything and get bad service.

For over two years my wife and I ate at China Buffet in Pearl at least once a week. It's a buffet so all the servers do is bring your drink and your check. We always paid our bill in full and when we had a few extra dollar bills we would leave a tip. On two seperate occasions we didn't leave a tip and a female server chased after us to remind us that we didn't. The next time we went they refused to refill our beverages and the server told us our charge was three dollars more than what was printed on the bill. We shrugged this off to simple rudeness and thought nothing more of it until a few weeks ago when my father died. I was feeling bad so I decided to stop in as a treat to myself. The waiter insisted I pay at the table instead of at the register. Feeling low and out of sorts I left the money on the table and got up to leave, but before I could leave the server chased me down and told me I was supposed to leave a tip. I told him I had left enough to pay the bill and then some, but he insisted that I leave more, and told me in a not too quiet voice that I was famous for not being a good tipper. personally, I think they're are enough good Chinese restaraunts nearby to ensure that you don't have to take this kind of abuse. Please don't give money to people like this.

I am fairly new to the area and enjoy eating at new restaurants. I visited this place and the food was so good, always hot and never ran low, it's now on my return list.
