I kicked up a rock and it did damage to my oil pan on 2019 VW Golf R. Took it in to AutoWorks, them being the nearest place to the incident that worked on VW. Picked it up the following day. Driving it home, after traveling about 30 miles, there was a "pop" and my car seemed to go out of gear. And then the smoke. Got pulled over and there was a trail of fluids. Then the flames started coming out from under the hood. Even though there invoice says there is a 24 month, or 24,000 mile warranty, they're not willing to do anything for me.
Funniest part of all of this is, before I left, Jackson told me about his sisters VW catching on fire and burning. I'm wondering if they worked on it too.

We moved to Payson 4 years ago from California, and as luck would have it, needed a new mechanic 2 weeks later for our minivan. Our neighbor recommended Shaun at AutoWorks so I gave them a shot - SO glad I did! They were really busy, but gave me undivided attention when it was my turn, they explained everything they were going to do and why, and didn't talk over my head(hate that!). The repair was reasonable and done quickly. They also let me know about a couple of maintenance things, but weren't pushy AT ALL about them. Since then, I've gotten to know Shaun(owner) and Brian the service advisor quite a bit and I say without reservation that they are the BEST, most upfront and ethical mechanics I've ever known. There was an issue one time with a repair they did, and they made no excuses whatsoever, and had it taken care of immediately at NO cost or inconvenience to me. Now THAT is impressive! A lot of places can take your money, some might even charge a little less, but when there is a problem, are they going to be there for you? I know for sure Auto Works is.

Update: The new service advisor guy is TJ. Seems nice, I'm sure Shaun will make sure he takes care of me! :)

Autoworks Car Care has serviced our many vehicles over the past 10 plus years. we have found their work to be reliable, fairly priced, efficient and always willing to back up any defective parts issues. what we like is the way they look for additional problems that we are not aware of and give us an estimate for fixing those problems. to us, this is preventive and proactive car care, which in the long run saves us money and frustration...

I'm a single woman and have been taken advantage of by many car repair places, so I'm really careful about who I trust my car with. I decided to try out AutoWorks because I was impressed with the integrity I felt with Shaun and Candi Martin, when I met them at the Payson Chamber of Commerce event in December 2010. I took my vehicle in to have some noises checked and I thought I was going to have to pay a lot of money to have it taken care of. I was pleasantly surprised that the cost was reasonable, which gave me money to get some other work done that very day. I was surprised and very pleased when I drove away because the noises were gone and the drive was much improved. I would heartily recommend AutoWorks Car Care to anyone, especially single women that don't know anything about cars!Elaine W.

Payson Autoworks has always been honest and fair with us. They give us an upfront cost and when there's a choice on parts, they call and ask which we prefer, telling prices and explaining if there's any difference in quality.Once when we had our brake pads replaced, and 6 months later they went out and had to be replaced again, they took care of it with absolutely no cost to us--parts or labor. I've never run across a business so honest and fair that goes so far out of their way to give the customer what they want.

I remember when they were in their first building, I've taken four different cars of my own to them, I trust them more than a dealership and they've always charged me less than a dealership (I always compared prices for my first several years there). I trust the people, I trust their work. They are good to their word, if they fix something and it still isn't quite right bring it back and they'll make it right. They're upfront and honest, if they think it's one of three things they'll tell you, give advice of what they think should be done and have you make the call. My first car was a beater, they found EVERY little thing that was wrong with it, helped me get everything working that needed to be and we tackled the other little things later on that weren't emergencies at that moment but they're so good we saw the emergencies (that were present and that were going to become apparent Later) BEFORE it was me stuck on the side of the road. I trust them.

We have taken our car to Autoworks for over 10 years. They honor their warranties. We are asked what we want done and when repairing it, if there's an option on parts, they call to verify what part we want (the economic part or the one with a warranty). We have always been able to trust their work. Their prices are fair and reflect area market pricing. They take pride in their work.If they have a coupon available for a service I am getting done, they apply that discount even if I didn't know there was a coupon available.

I was told he would give you a good price and would have to done pretty quiet. He didn't!!! I found that I could have gone to the dealer and got it for adout half and price he charge me. The front help was very slow, get into your personal life to much and DIDNT NO ANYTHING ABOUT CARS! Although the work some to be done right but I will ever go there again.

Not that empressed. I was told this guy was resonable and word work with you . He didn't. It took a long time to get my van back. He was always waing for parts. Then I find out I could have done it some where a lot cheaper. (at least $300 less) staff doesn't seem to know what they are doing either.

We just bought a home last year, and needed a fence for our dog. We live in an older neighborhood and wanted wrought iron (without paying 40,000)Doug helped us come up with a fence option that was both beautiful and affordable. They did great work, and even got it done faster than the estimate (despite extreme amounts of rain during the week they worked!!)My fence is gorgeous, and now my dog doesnt randomly "visit" my neighbors!! It was cold outside but they got the fence in as quickly as possibly. The fence looks very nice and the quality is great! In May our neighbors decided to put up a big 6ft fence. One of our poles needed to be moved. I called Doug from Solid Fence. I had a lot of questions about moving our pole. Doug was very nice and very knowledgable about the issue. He agreed to come out as soon as possible and help us with the issue. Doug was very easy to work with and I would recommend this business to anyone.

I had a fence installed about 8 years ago by another Fence company in Sioux Falls and to this day am disappointed. However, my neighbor had their fence installed by Solid Fence Company 2 years ago and it looks great. The construction of the fence was far more superior to what I got, and my neighbor only had good things to say about the workers, owner and price. I would definitely recommend this business to anyone who would ask me about fencing.

I wanted to get some extra money when I went to sell my house and figured I would call Solid Fence Company to add on to make the sell that much better. Well, what I ended up getting was a whole lot of trouble and bullsh!t from this company that absolutly did a horrible job on my fence as well as ripping me off on the price! The owner of this company Douglas was not only acting as if he was some kind of big shot business owner but he seemed to be very shady in many ways. I know now I should have gone with one of the other companies. He told me it would look great and solid but what I ended up getting was a crappy looking fence and not the style I wanted! When he showed up to talk to one of the guys working for him on my fence he treated his worker very badly and seemed as if he was acting like a spoiled fat little rich kid with a drug problem! I hate the fence this guy built for me and wish I never bought from this business! I would not recommend anyone to go through this company ever.

Wanted to sell my home in the near future and realtor told me to help it sell much quicker add some small details. Never had kids or a dog but lived in a neighborhood where there were lots of young families also near a school. Call the guys up at Solid Fence and it was going to be awhile before they were able to get out but once they got there the work was done extremely quickly. I worked on a farm for many years and can say the work that was done was going to last many many years. A few months later my house was on the market again and sold in a ONE WEEK!!! Not only that but got my full asking price which was an extra 6,000 more than what I had listed it for before the fence.
