Sathish J. Subbaiah, MD, MS, graduated summa cum laude from Yale University with a BS and MS in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. He earned his MD from Harvard Medical School with high honors. Dr. Subbaiah completed his residency in Neurosurgery at Harvard/Brigham and Womens Hospital and subsequently completed a one year advanced fellowship in Endoscopic & Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery with Dr. Richard Fessler, a pioneer in this field who has treated athletes such as Peyton Manning and was the first surgeon to use human stem cells to surgically treat spinal cord injury patients.Dr. Subbaiah specializes in minimally invasive treatment of degenerative diseases of the spine including disc herniation, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis (spinal instability), as well as complex neurosurgical spine disorders including scoliosis and spinal tumors. Dr.Subbaiah is an active member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. He has published numerous book chapters and research articles in the field of minimally invasive spine surgery.Dr. Subbaiah is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Mt. Sinai Medical Center and performs surgery at St. Charles Hospital.
