once was a time i did the home "rent a snake" version of a mister rooter. comes a time when something kin to divine intervention shows the proper way to assess and solve a clogged sewer. Comes a time when Prouty Plumbing rolls onto your street, and if its your day, ...knocks on your door. the way i was maintaining my sewer was like stapling jello to a redwood tree. these guys had high def cameras that went into the pipe so mi could see every root intrusion, every piece of failing clay pipe, every crack in my cast iron. they had regular rooter machines, light years ahead of the one i used to rent. hydrojetters to clean the insides of the pipe. pipe liners to reline the pipe insides if cracks were present. pipebursters to shove into a existing failed pipe so far damaged that it couldn't be lined.
