Decatur County General Hospital, located in Parsons, Tenn., is a nonprofit community hospital that is a county-owned facility and has been part of the Community Health Alliance since 1996. The hospital provides acute care facilities, such as swingbeds; 24-hour in-house physicians; physical, respiratory and intravenous therapy; and pain management services. The hospital also provides outpatient services, including laboratory services; radiology, such as CT scans, bone density tests, ultrasound, echocardigram, Doppler studies, mammograms and fluoroscopy; and, speech therapy. It also provides medications related to cancer therapy, such as procrit, neupogen and neulasta. Additionally, the hospital provides 24-hour cardiac monitoring devices, diabetes care and dietary instruction.
