I have been taking my vehicles here for years. They are great at basic repairs and allow you to purchase your own parts. Labor rates at the time of this review are cheaper than other shops in the area. The employees are professional and good hearted. I wouldn’t take my vehicle here for an engine rebuild or transmission work, but they are great at the basics.

Thought they were reliable after having a few specific repairs done by them. My car began misfiring and died, wouldn't start afterwards. After leaving the car at Van's shop for several days my car was diagnosed as having eternal engine problems, something had broken inside the engine, recommended having the engine replaced by someone.

I had no reason not to believe them. They are the mechanics, I'm not. So, not wanting the expense of an engine replacement - I gave the car to my niece who was willing to find another engine for it.

My nephew decided to look at the engine and discovered the car only needed a new timing belt and accompanying parts. He repaired it for under $200.

Guess what? Van's Auto will never get another penny of my money. Think about it before you take your auto to them. I gave away a perfectly good automobile because of their ineptness.
