We love the Valley School! My 2 1/2 year old started the pre-K program in September 2017. Prior to enrolling my daughter at the school I had researched many of the other schools in the area (including visiting them) and loved this school the best. I had read some of the older negative posts for the school and was a bit hesitant initially but decided to visit the school anyway because the website showed a beautiful facility and it was so close to our home. I am so glad we did! The negative posts were written years ago and must have been under a different school director/management. The new director, Heather, is wonderful and has infused the school with great programs for parents and children. My daughter's teacher (Ms. Jen) is wonderful and engaging and my daughter hugs her every morning. The school is tucked away at the end of a dead end street so there is not much traffic nearby. Also the classrooms are clean and airy and there is a strong emphasis on cleanliness. The school lunches offered are for the most part healthy and nutritional. And I am amazed that the other teachers know my daughter by name even though she is not in their classroom. There is definitely a family/close-knit community feel to the school and I so glad our daughter attends this school. Final note: compared to other schools in the area the cost is middle of the pack and reasonable.

My son, now 2 1/2, has been in the Valley School since he was 3 months old. While our needs have changed from basic infant care to a more structured "school-like" experience as he grows into a vibrant toddler, the Valley School has exceeded our expectations every step along the way. The facilities are top notch and I love the intimate atmosphere that sets Valley apart from many other "assembly line-like" daycares in the area. Just as I've enjoyed and relished in every milestone my son has hit, I feel as if the caretakers at the school have done the same. It's always a little unnerving to leave your child with anyone that isn't you, but I feel 100% confident that I am putting my son in the right hands every day. I firmly believe that his experiences at the Valley School have helped to form him into the out-going, confident, and intelligent toddler that he is today. It takes a village to raise a child and I am so happy that the Valley School is part of my village!

My child has been attending the valley school since she was 4 months old. I love this school. Any issues I have had were immediately addressed. The new director is wonderful and the communication I have had with her teachers has always been consistent. As she has moved from the infant room to the toddler room and now the preschool, the activities and class makeup have been developmentally appropriate. All the teachers are very loving and the art projects are so creative. My daughter has learned so much here and she loves going to school every day. I feel lucky that I can trust my child is well taken care of and loved at the valley school.

I cannot recommend this school either! Parents watch out for the fake reviews on yelp. FYI family members/significant others without kids in the school should not be posing as parents.

I cannot recommend this school. I had to pull my children out of this school after two years. I was initially excited about The Valley School and it's Reggio-based methods of teaching. I loved the look of the school and the clean minimalist atmosphere. But I am sad to say the administration there is a mess. There is constant major turnover at the school - three different directors in one year and teachers and their assistants leaving regularly. There is no communication amongst the staff or parents, and my children ended up in classrooms with no familiar faces in charge. I felt the school was run primarily like a business, but lacked the heart and soul that a truly successful childcare center needs.

I am a former teacher of 2nd grade and when it was time to find a preschool for my own children, I thought the Valley School was a good fit. My experience there was extremely disappointing. The administration has terrible communication and the staff's turnover rate is constant. The owner is only there about once a month to check up and under the supervision of the new director countless families pulled their children out. I recommend finding another preschool for your child's instruction.

We are one of the many parents that chose to withdraw our child from the valley school in park ridge over the summer of 2015. The lack of consistency in staffing, as well as, the lack of staffing was the straw that did it. In our opinion, the owner of the school, who has minimal background in childcare will promise you anything (like enrichment programs coming) to keep the check coming, but is clearly focused on state awards & grant money.
