I was very disappointed. I cant rate it minus stars but had to rate it at least one to be able to warn others. The food was horrible. I didnt bother to eat it. It took three people greeting me at the door just to get my order to go, I had called in. The place was dirty and the food not edible. I will never return. Im waiting for the stomach ache I know will attack me soon. The only taste the food had was the grease it was cooked in. No Thank You!

management is awful, servers suck,food gives diarrhea. This place is very unprofessional. I witnessed a manager yelling at a server from across the restaurant to come here!! get out of the way. Ive even seen a few cry in front of customers. Definitely not coming back I go to a restaurant to relax not to see drama. And not once did any manger come and check if everything was ok. Needless to say not coming back.

This used to be a very good El Chico to go to. It has totally gone down hill. The service is awful but the food is still o.k. The waitress waited until our food came out to see if we needed anything else. I guess she was trying to get rid of us. They were not busy at all. It does not make since, wouldn't you want to make a good tip? I had to walk my bill up to the front because we were tired of waiting. Then the waitress started to be friendly right before we left a tip. Ridiculous, I won't be back.

After returning to my home state after a 4yr absence,all I wanted was to go to El Chico for the trademarked chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce and a yummy frozen margarita!What I had was quite the opposite. The froze up margarita machine was out of order,an attempt was made by the bartender to make a frozen by hand which was a disaster.The food was awful. It was nothing like the great meals El Chico became great behind. The enchilada was stuffed with some stringy chicken and red sauce,tasted awful. The edges of my tortillas were hard as if old or left out uncovered.The bar area was spotted with dirty tables,only 6 other customers were there at 4 in the afternoon,the bathroom was dirty,stock that wasn't put up was stacked on the top of the bar and on bar stools.At this time of the afternoon,preparations should have been underway to receive the dinner crowd.I saw the hostess on her cell,the manager and one waitress.MGMT overhaul QUICK!What a waste of commercial space.

If you want great food with a fun and friendly atmosphere and some awesome margaritas, try this place. They have happy hour so run on over!

For great food, a fun atmosphere and terrific margaritas, head to your local El Chicos. Make sure to order the from scratch guacamole. YUM!
