Dr. Cornateanu is board-certified in surgery and surgical critical care by the American Board of Surgery. He graduated with his medical degree from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Beer-Sheva, Israel, and New York City, New York. He completed a surgical internship at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and he received general surgery residency training at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He received a fellowship in surgical critical care, trauma surgery and acute care surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
