Provided by YP.comI went to the "walk in clinic" as they call it and ended up paying $100 to see a doctor. When asked why the answer I was given was because my insurance deductible for an "Urgent Care" facility is $100.
If you go without insurance you only pay $90 for a visit. So they got money from me and are now making a claim with my insurance company to get even more money.
The best part of this story is that I was NEVER told that my visit would be 10 cheaper if I didn't use my insurance company.
I will never use this clinic again as they are a rip off and running a money scam. They lack customer service skills and common courtesy to inform their patients that using insurance would be more costly for them.
I am sorry that you are not happy with the cost of the copay of your insurance. As you know, this copay is set by your insurance company, not by our office. We have signed contracts with most insurance companies that set the rates they pay us, but the copay rate is based on your specific plan and is the same for any urgent care clinic. Self pay patients pay in full at time of service. As we do not have to pay a billing service or wait over a month for payment, we pass on the saving. If any extra services (x-ray, labs, flu testing...etc) are provided they pay additional charges while all of an insured patient's services are covered in full with their copay. Many of the insurance contracts do not permit doctor offices to allow patients to pay self pay rates if they present their insurance card.

Provided by YP.comThe nurse is super sweet!! I had concerns about problems that have been worrying me and Dr. Kenneth Rice was amazing, he really cares and went over everything!! He really takes his time with you and really listen which is so important. I will be coming back in the future if I need their help. I give 10 to 10 five stars. The staff is wonderful and the doctor is great!!
