Technician broke a string during the tuning, and it ended up costing $350 to get our piano tuned and to repair the damage. Initially, all together, we ended up having to pay $495 for the tuning, the string repair and a final tuning after the string was stretched (that we didn't order). Some our money was returned to us after we questioned the charge of an additional tuning. At the end of it all, a couple of piano keys are out of tune, and have a harsh twanging sound. They sounded much better in tune before the tuning !!! So now it might end up costing ANOTHER $145 to get it tuned properly by a different company. We are not impressed that we were charged so much to fix the string the was broken during tuning. I called around and found out that another company only charges $10 for a string repair plus $20 for the part, not $225 that we had to pay. I hope that others do not have this type of experience and have to take a hit to their wallet.
