Noises in Your Walls or Attic The most common type of complaint in the field of wildlife control is that of animals living in the attic. People hear the scratching, chewing, scampering, and walking noises up in the attic, often at night, and thus call a professional. If you do hear noises in the attic, it's probably one of these five species: House Mice: Mice are small, and oftentimes people don't hear them, but at night when everything is quiet, you may hear the pitter-patter of tiny feet above your ceiling. The House Mouse loves to live in a ...house, and the walls and attic are safe places. At night, they may venture out into the kitchen in search of food, or go outside for food and water, then back into the house before dawn. Roof Rats: Rats are commensal with people - they live in urban areas, and often thrive on our food and shelter. They seek out the warmth and safety of houses and other buildings, and commonly take refuge in walls or attics. If you hear scratching and running in the middle of the night, it's probably rats. Squirrels: Squirrels are probably the most common animal in attics. These arboreal rodents usually live in trees, but many find that the attics of homes are drier, warmer, and safer than any tree - in particular, female squirrels with young will give birth to and raise the litter in an attic. If you hear the scratching and running noises in the daytime, particularly morning and early evening, it's probably squirrels. Raccoons: Raccoons frequently break into attics in search of safe shelter. As with the squirrels, it's often a female raccoon who is looking for a safe place in which to raise a litter of young. Raccoons are very strong, and can rip open the roof or soffit in order to get in. If you hear heavy walking noises in your attic, it's probably raccoons. If you hear chattering or the squealing of young, it's probably a litter of baby raccoons. Opossums: These opportunistic marsupials often live in human structures, under sheds and houses, and they also often live in attics. Just as with the other animals, a female with young is most likely to choose to live in the attic. Possums, equipped with their opposable thumbs, are great climbers, and can easily get onto the roof to their entry point. Possums do not live in attics as frequently as these other animals, but it does happen from time to time. Other Animals: Stray cats will sometimes live in an attic as well. Bats are very common, but people don't often notice them until the colony becomes very large and vocal, or until the odor becomes overwhelming. Birds also live in attics from time to time. Whatever the animal is, a wildlife professional can easily determine the species - if it's not spotted outright, there's plenty of evidence left behind! - Trails, footprints, droppings, chewmarks, and more.

Hired them to rid my attic of rats and paid upfront (big mistake). They said it would be about a two week job. They set traps but instead of returning to check in two to three days, they would only return after over a week and several telephone calls. They finally stopped coming and would not even return calls. I finally had to hire another company to finish the job.

We were getting some work done on the house and a worker noticed droppings in the garage and told my husand about it. So my husband decided to called around and came upon florida nuisance trappers and i told them what the worker found and they said it was most likey rats so they sent someone out and he looked around and it confirmed it and told us what they could do and said that they would also seal up any entry points all for a really reasonable price. They caught them all and sealed it. And we are very pleased with the job they did and the time they did it in too. We would defintily use them again.

I was hearing some werid noises and couldnt figure out where it was coming from or what it could be. So i looked in my attic and i saw rats running all over. I freaked and called around and everyone was expensive and wanted me to sign up for a contract then i called florida nuisance trappers and said they would not use any poison and no year long contract that i didnt want. They got rid of all rats and then santized the attic and removed any installion that needed to be removed and replaced. They were excellent. And well worth the price.

I opened my door to walk out one night and a freaking raccoon ran right out of no where. I ran back in and looked up trappers and saw them called them up they came out set some traps out and caught like at least 5 if not more. After they were done with the job they sure assured me they got the ones that were hanging out by my house and a couple others. I can not thank them enough for catching them and the price was very reasonable. They did an awesome job. I would definitly call them again if i ever have an animal problem again.

I had a pretty big bee problem in my backyard where my fence and my neighbors' fence is butted up. They showed up and got into the fence and got the bee hive out and made sure there was none left and put my fence back together. They were very good.

He asked for the money up front, set up a trap for raccoons and never came back. I left multiple messages and no call back. He took the money and ran.

DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY!!!

When he arrived he looked very disheveled. I showed him where the raccoon was suspected living in the Attic. One of the babies had fallen from the ceiling and I rescued the baby myself. We provided a ladder to the attic and he went up to see what he could find. 25 minutes later he came down and said he did not see anything. He baited 2 traps and put them where he thought were good trap locations. He collected my $250 check and told me he would return in three days and left.

That was 18 days ago and 12 phone calls (two calls answered by his daughter who had a speech impediment).

This dirtbag ran off with our money. He cashed a check on May 24 and sent to long text messages apologizing for his behavior. Do not trust this crook. He is completely unreliable unprofessional and just plain scum. Hire anyone else but Florida Nuisance Trappers.

Today we still have a raccoon in our attic and are stuck losing $250 to this abomination!

Take the money and run when I pointed out there were still rodents. Then when he sends his 15 yr. old daughter in an environment of diseased rodents with active nests to do the job he was paid to do, I expressed my concerns with a neighbor (a customer) and now absolutely gone. Still have rodents and he failed at the job that was promised by contract. Peanut butter is a favorite attraction to bait a trap for rodents and the best way to gauge the "proofing or sealing" as per hand written contract (if you can read it). Buyer beware 1/2 $ up front & remainder after you are convinced with the absents of rodents in your own traps, that the job was completed as per the hand written contract by the mental midget trapper that wrote it.

I heard chirping one night and thought it was birds in my house somewhere I walked in every room and didn't see anything but still heard it. Went outside and saw bats flying out of my house!! I ran back in and started calling trappers and came upon florida nuisance trappers. They told me they could be that night and get rid of them. They got rid of the bats and sanitized the area and sealed the area where the bats were coming in and out of.

I had a problem with rats in my attic and I called florida nuisance trappers and they came out and set traps and sealed the house up all for a very reasonable price. They even told me how and why the rats were in my attic. They suggested I trim back my trees away from my house for prevented measurements. I would definitely recommend them to everyone I know.

We heard something early in the morning and called FNT and talked to Louis and he determined we had a squirrel problem and sure enough when he came out we had squirrels coming in and out of the soffit. He set traps in the attic and caught five within a week. He also sealed the area where they were coming in and out. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
