I saw this movie last night, let me start by saying save your money stick with the original. I have seen every Elm St. that they've made, this new version doesn't compare to the old one. Maybe it's just me, but I can't see anyone else playing Freddy but Robert England. I really wanted to give this movie a shot, I had my hopes up. All of my years watching these movies I never once made the connection that the character Freddy was a child molester, last night they made it loud and clear for me. This fact was shoved in your face countless times. The killings were about the same as in the first one, but what it lacked was a strong lead character. Whoever this new guy is playing the Krouger role doesn't impress me much. Everytime you saw him he maybe had one line and that was it. This actor didn't have many lines to learn. I'm probably being to hard on this movie, but the old Nightmare on Elm St. movies were great, this one was disappointing. Characters like Michael Myers and Jason can be played by any large muscular man because they never talked and wore a mask, but Freddy was different. Why do they want to keep remaking movies, do they not have any fresh and new ideals in hollywood.
