Guhde Flooring America did an excellent job for me in providing an LV tile, Fusion Exotic Mahogany, in my kitchen. I was extremely satisfied. Their price was very competitive, and work was professional. They started on time and finished the work in the time stated. The staff and the owner were very courteous and gave me the impression that they wanted the customer to be pleased. I am not hesitant to recommend them to others who may need their service. GOODJOB.

We were initially excited to do business with Guhde as they've been around for years and seem to do good work. Unfortunately, it seems some of that has gone to their heads, as they are very arrogant and proud of who they think they are. For our master bedroom suite, we ordered porcelain tile for the bathroom area and carpet for the bedroom and walk in closet area, plus a fireplace mosaic tile. We ended up waiting almost two months for our flooring to come in and for them to schedule an installation date, which was ridiculous to begin with. The installation day finally arrives and they show up with not enough tile to do our bathroom area. The owner, Mike Guhde, immediately blames my wife for misleading him on what we wanted, even though we were very clear and even pointed out where the tile line would end on the floor when he came out to measure. My wife got the feeling he was paying half attention and quite honestly, looked down on her for having an opinion and trying to offer help in showing him where the tile line ended and the carpet began. So he really believed we wanted carpet throughout our bathroom area by our shower? That's what he thought and that's what they ordered. So halt installation and wait two more weeks for them to get a new dye lot of tile in and come back to install it. He actually charged me another $300 to fix his mistake and called that fair! And I had to talk him down from $375. Are you kidding me? What was I to do, my entire master suite was torn apart waiting for flooring at this point. Now we get to the quality of the final installation, which I felt was hastily "thrown in" at that point and they didn't do their best work. Sure, they used a quick set mortor for the tiles, which Mike Guhde made sure to let me know cost more. Wow, thanks! I'm paying another $300 for this on top of the $3500 I'm spending to begin with! Unbelieveable! My tiles have uneven grout lines, even along the walls where you can cut them to fit. Guhde blames the fact that they are non-rectified tiles, which was NEVER explained to me when we purchased them. There are sections of grout that have an uneven surface and lines that range from almost 1/2" down to 1/16", which is an extremely wide variance. The fact that several tiles along the wall lines and in corners have extremely different grout line widths tells me that these tiles could have been cut more accurately to fit in those areas. Again, I feel the job was rushed and they were aggravated they were still on the job at that point. There are plenty of other quality tile and carpet shopping experiences out there, I suggest you check them out.

I paid Guhde for "professional" installation of flooring & ended up with a visually unbalanced flooring. The floor is cut around the door, instead of the door being undercut. The flooring is warped & prevents the baseboard from going back like it is supposed to. Tile was put over the bottom of my hot water tank. Tile is cut the the back door trim piece instead of being under it. Tiles with the same design were place in the same direction next to each other. The installer guessed where & how big of a space to cut for the floor drain, instead of taking the time to measure. Mr. Guhde claimed that "God, Himself, couldn't have done a better job." They refused to fix anything & won't return my money. Mrs. Guhde even called my employer & tried to cause me problems at work. She told my boss that they were going to fix things & I wouldn't let them. Do you think them coming and putting grout where they knew that I had done it myself is fixing any of the other things that is wrong? I DON'T.
