This Legacy Martial Arts Taekwondo is based in Oxnard, CA they have many positive customer reviews online. These reviews are not genuine and are solely intended for online showing/marketing to attract potential parents who are seeking a decent martial art studio for their kids. It's highly recommended to visit the place and observe (wisely) the type of quality of instructor's way of teaching and how often the main instructor attend to your child. There's plenty of elements messing into this place needed for your child's physical and developmental needs that are not being meet. Good goals are not meet due to over population and the lack of quality time attributed during practice session. The main instructor is always absent. Having the rookies instructor taking in charge of the class. The main instructor only comes perhaps 1-twice a week. Perhaps just to see how many students that are attending and what he could do to increase the amount of students or whatever amount he could come up with to sell and devour parents money. They have plenty of goals and their goal is primarily not to enhance your child's character but to maintain (sneakily) their overall productivity to increase company's popularity and growing profits. Your child is "just" "a" number "product" for showcasing instead an actual martial artist student with confidence. So think twice before you embark into a wrong place where you invest in your money for your child.

Mr. Gregory, the owner, is a highly committed professional and greatly involved instructor who is consistently maintaining the highest possible level of quality in his studio. His leading instructors are top quality world champions and tremendously knowledgeable who can teach with admirable patience. I, myself, an elementary school teacher can really appreciate the nuances of their craft. My son of 8 and I of 45 have been deeply impacted by them. My son has made leaps and bounds in all aspects of life since he's been attending Legacy Martial Arts in Oxnard. My prior aging health problems are being quickly reversed. I attend traditional classes as well as a highly engaging combat fitness class at night. I have also tried their yoga class, and everything is very professional, fun, challenging and engaging. I highly recommend this studio.

I have been attending Legacy Martial Arts Combat Fitness Class for a little over 3 months. The class is very diverse in age & fitness levels but the instructors always manage to give us amazing,fun and challenging workouts. Mr. Medina, Mr. Ortiz and Mr. Gregory are always professional & helpful. This is a great class for all levels and has shown me perseverance. I have been in Martial Arts for a few years and I have learned so much from Legacy Martial Arts (LMA). The break down and understanding from the instructors is so easy to catch on is great! My family ( Myself and two daughters ages 7 and 9) has a good knowledge and understanding for LMA great environment just a overall great place to be!!!!I have a few injuries and they will work with you at your own pace and push you to best the best you can be!

My daughter and my son are attending their classes regularly at the Legacy Martial Arts Studio for almost three years now. It is where they learned self discipline, integrity,loyalty, self confidence,respect, honor, leadership and sportsmanship. At Legacy Martial Arts my children learned how to to overcome their shyness and are now more outgoing and out spoken. They enjoy their classes not only because of the class itself but they have time for play, fun and activities that are to look forward to.



I am really grateful and glad to be a part of the Legacy Martial Arts Family because it is not only a training ground for kinds to be a better person, individual and a citizen but it is also a family oriented group where everybody is welcome.

Me and my 11 year old son joined Legacy Martial Arts 6 months ago, we absolutely love the environment, the instructors teach you with passion and respect, I grow up in a traditional family where values are taken seriously and here at Legacy they encourage them, I really like the fact that this Is helping my son with life skills, not just fiscally, in this short time we both have improved, and even competed! Every day we have the motivation to go to our class, I really appreciate the professionalism of the instructors,and they effort to make every single student better on every class.

Love this place! I started going here because a friend recommended me to do so and Im so glad I decided to go. Master Gregory is an amazing instructor and you learn a lot from every class. Its a great environment with friendly and knowledgable staff that is more than willing to help you get started. Its a great way to get disciplined and as a bonus you get a really good workout. :)

I have been going to the nightly 8:00 pm classes as often as my current work and school situation allows. It's an incredible workout that beats any experience you could hope for. I am learning how to exercise properly, I am getting a very good workout (as measured by muscle soreness the following day) and I have noticed a marked change in my body composition and level of fitness since I joined. Mr. Gregory and his phenomenal team from Ms. Rosales, Mr. Medina, have been very helpful in teaching me how to workout. I am very satisfied. The quality of instruction is superb, the facility spacious and fully stocked, and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. This is the place to train for any form of the main mixed martial arts components.I couldn't recommend this place more and it's really changed my outlook on training. I must say this is exactly what I've been looking for.The people are unpretentious, friendly and incredible. And it's helping me achieve my goals for this summer. Erica J.

When you join ATA Legacy Martial Arts, you not only join a Studio, you join a community! You are welcomed with a smile everytime you enter the studio. Everyone seems to know everybody! I can't say enough about Mr. Gregory and his wonderful team from Ms. Rosales, Mr. Medina, and Ms. Cambe. It has been 1 year and 4 months now since our 2 boys joined and I am amazed by their improvements with regards to strength and flexibility as well as their accomplishments with each belt they achieve. I am very satisfied on how they handle their classes even with the growing number of students. I can attest that I personally see improvements with each student in this studio as they get promoted each testing. My sons are also in the leadership program and it has helped my son Zach in overcoming his shyness and has improved with his public speaking skills. They boys have the opportunity to train with various weapons in the leadership program and they are our own personal ninjas from swords, kamas, etc. I would gladly and wholeheartedly recommend this studio to anyone!!! Well what more can I say about this place besides it has changed my life. Well I know for some that are reading this you will think that I talking a bunch of smoke and trying to sell snake oil. But for the people that take this as a true confession of what it has done for me, you will realize that without this martial arts studio and the owner I would not be anywhere near where I’m at right now. Well it all started one night when my mother, myself, and my little brother were driving down Oxnard Blvd. and she notice the studio while driving by and she decided it would be good for my brother to join. So I personally took karate around 7 years old and had this notion that I was still a “martial artist” keep in mind at this time I was 13 years old in my first year of junior high. So we walk in and my mother begins to speak with Mr.Greggory and me being the hotshot I thought I was ignored him and waited by the door with my headphones on listening to music. Then a moment that I will never forget he asked about me and my mother said I took martial arts before and had a chip on my shoulder and reluctantly I walked over and began to talk about myself and how I thought myself to be amazing. Then he said my brother is gonna join and asked me if I would be interested and said sure. So I went home and in my mind I thought oh this will be easy. So the next day I showed up in the uniform and began my first day. I was the only one there and it was basically a one on one lesson and boy did I learn how much I didn’t know and how much I wasn’t as good as I thought. Then after that day I kept coming back for class to this day I remember what kept me motivated to keep going every day. And that one thing was to prove to Mr. Gregory that the person he met was not the person I truly was and that I was better than he thought. And that was the story of my first year or so at legacy martial arts, mr.greggory would challenge me to do something and I had to prove that I could do it no matter how hard. And then I entered high school and I was worried that being a small teenager, I would get bullied and picked on but I didn’t. And at first I didn’t understand why I was left alone. And then after a while I realized that through martial arts and the life lessons mr greggory thought me were changing me to be more confident and an independent. Well fast forward to my the end of my junior year and the beginning of my senior year I had already started competing at the ata tournaments and had already won state titles but the big stage is the world title in which the best of the world compete against the top ten in the division in little rock Arkansas. And all my hard work and dedication and hard work all came to a head as I flew out to compete for world championship in the 14-16 year old first degree blackbelts. The first day I competed and won first place in weapons.
