The house I'm renting was constantly very moist and had a strange smell that never fully went away and my kids and I were getting sick a lot. One day I noticed what looked like mold growing on the ceiling in my daughter's bedroom. Once I saw that, I was positive that mold was the cause of all the issues in the house and with our health.

After my landlord failed to properly address the issue, I called a mold specialist. I took a day off work for the appt with that specialist and he never showed up. He didn't even bother to call me to cancel or reschedule.

That's when I called Midwest Environmental Pro's. John took the time to speak with me after business hours and within a couple days he was at my house to inspect. He actually kept our appointment (unlike the other company) and arrived on time.

He did air samples and also a surface sample of the ceiling growth. He was very professional and took the time to explain a lot to me about mold and the inspection and testing process.

John, being the experienced professional that he is, suggested we do a sample of the crawlspace in addition to the other samples. I had never even considered that the mold might be under the house.

As soon as he opened the crawl space, the mold issue was very obvious. There was mold everywhere. He took the sample and we had results within a couple days.

Once I had the results and John had gone over them with me, I contacted my landlord AGAIN. The mold problem was extensive and I had the reports to prove it. Thanks to John, I was armed with a lot of information and the proof I needed to back me up.

The landlord took me seriously this time and they had the mold removed. We had to be gone from the house for 6 days while the removal process was under way and the men removing the mold were wearing what looked like hazmat suits to do the job.

While in the crawlspace, the men discovered that there were significant undiagnosed plumbing issues that led to the build up of the mold.

If John had not suggested looking at the crawlspace during the inspection, none of this would ever have been fixed and we would've continued to be stuck in a mold infested house for the remainder of the lease.

As of today, the house is mold free! I am so greatful to John for the amazing job he did and I would recommend this company to anyone.

Everything looks great! I am really impressed by how helpful you and your company have been. Living halfway across the country made it difficult to take care of my house. You and your crew lived up to and exceeded your excellent reputation. Should I get the chance I would gladly recommend your services to anyone that needs them. Even my contractor was really impressed by the quality of the work that you and your crew preformed. Due to the least invasive procedures that your company uses I was able to not only save money by using your services but I also saved money on re-modeling costs. Thanks again John!

Poor communication which is a shame… But work began on my house January 19th, which is also when the lack of communication began. No one called to let us know that work would start on that day, and getting information since then has been "spotty" at best. I understand all the setbacks, but I just need someone to keep me updated.

This company breached a contract we had for work. And in my opinion are by far the most incompetent and Unprofessional Mold Company that I have ever had the displeasure of working with. They’re expensive and in my opinion they’re far better companies to trust.
