My mother was recently admitted after a distasteful stay at another nursing facility and Victoria Home is so far a breath of fresh air. Everyone from the professional staff to the attending staff is pleasant and accommodating. They seem to have a predisposition to help rather than hinder in every respect, and indifference is not something I have ever experienced on any level there. Everything others have said about the atmosphere is true, and goes a long way to avoid an institutional feel, and provide a home-like environment as much as possible. It is still an adjustment, but Victoria Home strives to make it as painless as possible.

Recently my friend and I toured Victoria Home for her mother-in-law. We were given a wonderful tour and all of our questions were answered and it put us at ease during a stressful time. We also visited other facilities in the area. My friend's mother-in-law was admitted first for rehab and then for long term care due to her dementia. The rehab was excellent but they decided to give up her home. What a wonderful experience it has been!. It feels like she is living in a Bed and Breakfast and the staff couldn't be more attentive and loving. I visit often with my friend and they all seem to go the extra mile to make her confortable and happy. Every program we have observed truly is delightful from outdoor garden parties to indoor concerts and special event parties. Even the food is so non-institutional compared to what I have seen elsewhere. What a find! My parents live in the area and I am glad this is an option if ever needed.

Victoria Home is a small nursing home that offers quality skilled nursing care to its 49 residents. Each resident is an individual, all staff know the residents by name and care for them as if it was their own loved one. Many good times the family had visiting were while we enjoyed the majestic view of the Hudson River sitting on the porch.

My grandfather was a resident at Victoria Home for about 3 years and I have to agree that it truly is a family like atmosphere. They provided wonderful care in a warm friendly way and always treating my grandfather with dignity and respect during his fight with Alzheimer's.

Victoria Home is one of the most amazing facilities that I have ever seen. It hold's the charm of an old Victorian Home, furnished with antique pieces and pictures of royalty surrounding the home. This Estate overlooks the Hudson River located in Ossining N.Y. the number one thing that stand's out about Victoria Home besided the bed and breakfast atmosphere is the Person-Centered care. B/c the facility consists of 49 beds each resident is known on a personal level.
