Charley’s Steak House is named after Talk of the Town Restaurant Group’s founder and Red Lobster’s co-founder, Charley Woodsby. Since its inception, Charley’s Steak House has prided itself on being a traditional steakhouse and creating a unique dining experience unsurpassed in the hospitality industry. After selling Red Lobster to General Mills in 1970, Charley and his son Ron Woodsby developed Talk of the Town Restaurants – the corporate parent to Charley’s Steak House. Over the years the Woodsby’s have become “beef aficionados” with a steadfast formula for success: feature only USDA Prime & Choice beef, age on-site for 4 to 6 weeks, and have management cut meat daily and season for 30 hours to create distinctive flavor. The steak is then flame-grilled over a 1200° open pit, fueled with a combination of Florida citrus & oak wood. This carefully monitored process provides for quality, tenderness and a tantalizing taste that elevates Charley’s to the ultimate steakhouse experience.Charley’s Steak House is named after Talk of the Town Restaurant Group’s founder and Red Lobster’s co-founder, Charley Woodsby. Best steaks!

Excellent food. The steaks are to die for. It's pricey but totally worth it. Try the larger than life desserts. They are HUGE!

Best Steak House in America is lost on Service

For a 50th Birthday party with 11 people we were very dissatisfied. One entre was forgotten, one entre came over cooked, and the fish dish was never finished with crab and buerre blanc sauce. Wine was late arriving at table and the sides were comped after they came when most were finished with their meal.

Sent a letter, did not see this rating on line, had to shorten so less words

My husband and I were vacationing in Orlando and after trying to decide where to dine we chose Charley?s. Figuring it was a very well top rated Steak House we looked forward to a nice Filet Mignon. There was a two hour wait but we were on vacation and figured why not. It?s one thing when you have to wait but it?s another when you have to wait (being a server) I timed that it took 20 minutes to get our first drink and 25 minutes for a second drink in the lounge while we waited. After a little over two hours we were seated. By this time it was around 10 pm. My husband and I both ordered Filets. I ordered medium. When they finally arrived mine was absolutely awful. Completely full of grizzle and fat. Being a ?top rated? steak house I was not happy. I told our server and they sent someone over and they saw it was terrible and apologized. It was getting so late. When my next one arrived it was after 11:00 and it was blood red rare, we had it wrapped and left. Thank you.
