I called Cactus Cooling over a year ago when i was having some AC problems. They came out and advised that my unit was shot. They installed a new unit for me in November and everything seemed to be working fine until the heat of summer. As it got hotter the unit was making a hissing noise and would not cool down past 80 degrees in the heat of the afternoon. I called them, described the issue and asked for someone to come look at the unit. Their answer was that this was normal and that the hissing meant that the unit was working at full capacity. I dealt with things for quite some time but finally decided to call another company to come look at it. Long story short, the new AC folks tell me that the installer of the system never cleaned the lines or installed a liquid line filter drier which was causing the problems. Seems like the mountain of money i paid Cactus Cooling didnt get me what it could have elsewhere. Go to a reputable big name company instead of trying to save yourself money. It will make a difference in the long run.
