I am writing this to share the experience I have had with Wanita Albertson, of Albertson's wedding shop and services. When I first met with Wanita, she assured me that she would be able to work within my wedding budget of $10,000. During our first meeting, before I signed a contract with her, I expressed what a difficult time I had been having trying to find a photographer who could give me what I wanted within my budget( an engagement session, a dvd of all engagement photos, a 11x14 engagment photo with a border for wedding guest to sign, a photo album of wedding pictures, a dvd of all wedding pictures and some prints; 50 4x6, 1 11x14, 2 8x10, 1 5x7) . At this time she assured me that she had a photographer who could meet my needs/requests within my budget. After meeting with 2 photographers(which one of them was her husband) that she found for me, I let her know (through email), that I was not satisfied with the photographers that she found for me and that I needed for her to continue looking. She responded to my email saying that I was looking for “champagne vendors on a beer salary” and that she could not “work with someone who is expecting higher expectations than her budget will allow”. I feel this response was incredibly unprofessional and downright rude. As a client/consumer I tried to indicate that I was less than pleased with the options provided and as my consultant it was her duty to resolve these issues in a professional manner. Even after I was addressed so rudely and unprofessionally I still tried to work with Wanita and sent her an email explaining that I wasn’t trying to offend her or upset her, and she took almost a week to respond to the email and never acknowledge or apologized for the rude and offensive statements that she made. I have to say that I expected more from a vendor that participates in your bridal shows. You guys have been doing this for so long, that I felt confident that any vendors I dealt with by way of PWG would be professional as well as competent. This is the ONLY time I will be getting married. This is the special day when my prospective spouse and I will begin our lives together. I expected this wedding planner to be the one to help this special day become a reality. I paid for professional services that she promised to provide and then threatened to quit at the first sign of adversity. I also started a professional relationship with her that I expected to be rewarding and fruitful and now find that I am left without a chunk of my budget and still without a photographer and ultimately looking for a new wedding planner. This isn’t the special occasion I envisioned. This is actually a nightmare and I hope by writing this review it will help to make sure this nightmare doesn’t happen to the next unsuspecting bride that this wedding planner dupes
