Orland Fire Department s mission is to preserve life and property in the community of Orland Park, Ill. The department is a multifunction fire protection and life-safety organization. It has more than 100 suppression personnel backed up by a support staff. Orland Fire Department covers and area of 30 square miles and serves a population of more than 75,000. Founded in 1894, the department has six fire stations throughout the area. It is divided into dispatch, dive, medical, fire prevention, hazardous materials, maintenance, public education and training bureaus and divisions. The Orland Fire Department is managed by a Fire Chief and Deputy Fire Chief.
