I started my search for tile at the big hardware stores (Menards, Lowe's, etc.). Sure, they had tile, but I found the products to be uninspired and cheap. For comparison, I visited American Import Tiles in Orland Park, IL. This is a store that only does tile, along with all of the products and tools needed to install tile. I found out there is a lot to be said for going with the experts. The salespeople were smart and helpful and the place stocked all of the tile they displayed. I found the perfect tile for my kitchen floor, and also rented a tile cutter from them. Truly a one-stop shop for your tile needs. Highly recommended.

We had been to 3 other tile stores and found the people here the most knowledgeable and friendly to deal with. We took everything home with us that day...other stores needed a week to bring in stock. So much too choose from.
