Best Buy Orange has the WORST customer service!!!! I would do anything to avoid going to that store. Incompetent isn't a strong enough word for the employees and management at that store. I was in search of a product and looked online to see if their store had it in stock and saw that it was. To be sure they had it before driving there; I called to confirm that they had it. The woman at the customer service desk was completely rude and abrupt – first putting me on hold for five minutes while she apparently checked the stock, then coming back to the phone and forgetting that I was waiting for her and forgetting what she was looking for. She then told me that they did not have the product in stock. I told her that the online website indicated that they had it, to which she responded, “Just because it says we have it doesn’t mean we do”. Huh? So instead, I went to the Trumbull Best Buy store to look for it. When the Trumbull store checked the inventory, they told me that they did not have any in stock, but the Orange store had 5. FIVE!!#(#$*$* Five. I was fuming. I drove all the way to the Orange store and asked to see a manager to express my discontent. When the manager was called to come and speak with me, he was reluctant to come and kept asking the sales person if it was something they could handle without him. He finally ambled over, listened to my story and said, “Well just because it says we have it online doesn’t mean we do.” I then held up the product to him and said, “Ummmmmm I have it in my hands right here and there are four others on the shelf over there.” He replied, “Yeah we have it then.” He was completely unprofessional and did not present as management. To seal it off, on my way out of the store, the salesperson who is designated to check your bag and receipts was half way out of the door with a cigarette in his mouth. He saw me coming and took two drags before tossing it in the walkway and coming in to check my bag. The whole experience was disgusting. I will never shop there again – and discourage anyone else to do so.
