Fruit Growers Supply Company was organized in 1907 by the members of California Fruit Growers Exchange, now known as Sunkist Growers. The nonprofit cooperative association, based in Ontario, Calif., provides Sunkist Growers and other members of the agricultural community, materials and items required to grow, harvest, package and ship citrus products. It has a carton manufacturing plant and more than five operation centers, which provide central buying and warehousing capabilities, and specialized ordering and custom design irrigation departments. The centers meet the local warehouse needs of packing houses and growers, and also provide over-the-counter sales, purchasing capabilities, and customer service and support for installations, such as irrigation and wind machines.
