EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!! We purchased SOLID mahogany hardwood floors. They were to be installed on a raised foundation plywood floor using the nailed down method, and I made sure this company knew I wanted them nailed down. I was dealing directly with the owner. After they delivered the floors to my home to be "acclimated" which is standard for these types of floors, the owner called to say he messed up on his Invoice and wanted an additional $1,000 to finish the job. If not I could return the wood but would forfeit my $2,000 deposit so I basically had no choice but to go with this company or lose $2,000. I guess that's one way to get business - be dishonest and intentionally lowball quotes. Henry of Expert Hardwood Flooring is a VERY dishonest man. During the installation, my husband caught the employees of this company installing the floor with glue. After we were able to reach the manufacturer, they told us we now have absolutely NO WARRANTY on these very expensive hardwood floors. I also spoke to other flooring companies and they confirmed that it is only a matter of time before my floor will begin to crack and buckle because of the faulty installation. Henry refused to issue any refunds to me and saw absolutely nothing wrong with what they did. I spent the extra money for floors that would last a lifetime and thanks to the owner of this company, they won't. I would have been better off with carpet. WHAT A CROOK!!!! Keep looking for a reputable company. I finally filed a complaint against him with the Contractor's State License Board. After almost a year, we were sent to Arbitration. I received the award IN MY FAVOR. He just had me to pay to have the entire floor removed and a replacement floor put in. The industry expert hired by the CSLB and the arbitrator both agreed that this contractor installed the floors incorrectly. He just doesn't know what he is doing at all. Keep shopping.
