Established in 1957, Westgate Elementary School operates under the Westside Community Schools that also operates other elementary, middle and high schools. It provides educational classes to more than 300 students in grades kindergarten through six and is located in Omaha, Neb. The school s facility includes more than 20 classrooms, media center, computer lab music and band room, gymnasium, auditorium, speech therapy room, teachers' lounge and an office area. It has a community club that sponsors various activities and projects for the benefit of the school and encourages parents to participate in its varied activities. Westgate Elementary School core curriculum includes speech and language, art, music, health and physical education, science, social studies and math.
