Oakdale Elementary School has been operational since 1871 and provides academic instruction to students in kindergarten through grade six. The school has various clubs, including junior achievement, media friends, memory book, talent show, volunteer council, winter carnival, welcome night and yearbook. Its core curriculum includes art, foreign languages, health, math, music, physical education, language arts, life skills, science and social studies. The school has a team of guidance counselors that helps students in developing social and personal skills for academic performance and career development. Oakdale Elementary School is a part of the Westside Community School District and is located in Omaha, Neb.
