My husband and I have eaten at Hiro's new downtown location a number of times, the menu is impressive, the food is fresh, the environment is chic, the service has always been top notch...until our last visit. We will never return to Hiro sadly. We had planned our special date for over four months, romantic dinner and a front row seat concert. We thought Hiro would be an ideal place to begin our perfect evening. However our sever was incredibly rude and disrespectful. We arrived impeccably dressed and were seated immediately. First, my husband inadvertently ordered a dessert wine with his fabulous sushi, and did not care for the wine, so he simply asked the server to take it away, no problems so far. Yet when our entree arrived, we both agreed that we had had better, it just was not to our taste, we felt we had misordered, knowing we should have gone with our favorite dish, we asked our server to take our first entree from the table, with full intentions of paying for our mistake, of

This japanese restuarant is one of Omaha's finest...the food has always been perfect and very fair prices. The service is top notch. Even when they are busy the service is awesome...try the table side grill, it is a big hit with children.

Hiro has the best sushi in Omaha in my opinion. Everything is always very fresh and our servers have always been very pleasant unlike what we have found elsewhere. I LOVE the decor here. It is clean and well done. I hate the look and feel of Blue. Hiro stays true to tradition without trying to be something it is not. My second choice for sushi in Omaha is a tie between Sushi Japan and Prestige

I travel a lot and I believe Hiro has some of the best sushi anywhere. My wife is not a big fan of sushi so she appreciates being able to order chinese which she also says is right up there with her favorite chinese restaurants. This restaurant is a little hard to find but worth the trip.

This place has it all, a trendy atmosphere, great wait staff and REALLY good cuts of sushi. They also have excellent sushi rolls, and have 1/2 price sushi roll happy hour Friday and Sat. nights from 10 pm - Midnight. If you like sushi, this is the place to go. They also have really good alternative Chinese and Japanese dishes if you're not ready for sushi yet. Try this one out, you won't be disappointed.
