I go there only when I absolutely have to. Customer service is so bad that almost everyone I walk in there customers ask me, another customer about the plants. Many of the employees don't know where stuff is, or what it is. Frustrating. There are a few other nurseries popping up and I patronize them as much as possible.

I have shopped with Bark and Garden since they were just starting out in a driveway on Plum Street. Robin was always very helpful and even after he grew in size over the years. Since I am older now I don't garden as much so shopping there has slacked off. I do know that Robin has turned it over to his son, and it is growing even more. Seems that they are trying to give everyone everything needed for the garden. Olympia doesn't really have any other garden centers with what they have. Maybe customers caught employees on a bad day. We all have them.

This used to be a great nursery, and I used to be a loyal customer. However, the times have changed, and I am absolutely through with them now. Most of their staff knows nothing about plants. The only thing they know for sure is that they will REFUSE to allow a customer to return a plant, under any circumstances. Don't shop here!

This might be a great garden center BUT the employees were anything but nice. I asked two separate employees a question and they both seemed quite annoyed at having been asked. They weren't tough questions, just wondering were a certain plant was located. Secondly, when checking out my son (6 years old) laid his hand on the scale. The clerk took it upon herself to tell him, in a nasty tone of voice, not to touch it. I'm standing right there. It was NOT her place to do that. During the entire time I was there, my kids stayed right with me. They didn't touch any plants, other than the ones I was purchasing. They didn't run around, they weren't loud. They were good kids. I got the distinct feeling that they were not wanted in that store. I'll never go back. I shouldn't have to explain to my kids why a clerk was rude to them.

This is a great nursery, with a great variety of plants, especially for Spring and Summer planting. We have always found the employees to be very customer service oriented, knowledgeable, and willing to help out with any questions you may have. You definitely get more personable attention than you would in one of the big box store. We would definitely recommend the Bark and Garden Center!

Return policy lacks integrity. Staff claim there's nothing wrong with the plant - If there's nothing wrong, take it back and sell it to someone else! Then they claim there is something wrong - but it's because you planted it wrong. You do everything exactly like they say, but you're still out of luck. Bottom line is "buyer beware".
