My dryer quit tumbling when it was about 2 1/2 years old. The first visit from the GE technician took 3 days to schedule. He diagnosed the problem as the motor. It took 1 week for him to receive the motor. His second visit he could not remove the front of the drier. After trying for about 45 minutes, he gave up and said he would have to order the clips that held the front of the drier on and that would take another week. Calling the service department one week after that and they reported that the parts would be coming to me and I had to schedule the appointment when they arrived. After holding for about 10 minutes for an answer, the call center could not provide the routing or a tracking number or any data on the order. The agent at the call center would not connect me with the dispatcher that placed this order, or her supervisor.
If you purchase GE appliances, do not use their service department.
