I work near by and often see an employee smoking cigarettes in the street. This morning I saw two people, one in uniform, the other person I don't know if he worked there or not. They were hiding behind a dumpster and lighting something up. When I drove by they whipped their heads around like they were doing something wrong. I called the director and she passed it off as "just a cigarette" and kept cutting me off before I was finished talking. Even if it was "just a cigarette," there is such a thing as Third Hand Smoke. It's full of toxins and is on their clothes and the babies and children do not need to be around them breathing it in.

I was very disappointed with this daycare. Twice my four year old came home and told me that a teacher picked him up by the arm and hurt him (Deborah). I took these concerns to the daycare director (Dana), who was convinced that another parent told me this and it wasn't true. I suppose this implies that other parents were reporting similar problems. The director's solution was to remove my child from that classroom, which meant placing him in either the 3 year old classroom or the school age class in the mornings, depending on which staff was available. When I found out that they allow staff to leave school aged children (where I had been leaving my four year old of course) unsupervised for up to ten minutes at a time, I called the district manager with my concerns. We were dismissed from the daycare that very same day for going over the director's head to the district manager. We were given zero notice and to date, no refund for the remainder of pre-paid tuition. The entire situation was handled very unprofessionally. There are a few good teachers at this daycare, but my son was passed around excessively and this unfortunately meant a lot of interaction with completely unacceptable teachers as well.
