I have ONE twin window that needs replacing. ONE. I called, with measurements in hand, to ask for an estimate. Was told they "needed to send a representative" to give me an estimate in person. I said fine, but I don't want a sales pitch, I just want an estimate. They said it would take 40 minutes of my time, tops. I should have become suspicious of their motives at that point.

The representative, Jessie Lee, came. I reiterated, that I just wanted an estimate, not a sales pitch. Just "show me the money. How much will it cost for my window?" He said he understood, but still wanted to briefly show me what Champion would give me for the money. He took 1½ HOURS of my time! He gave his FULL sales pitch. Including showing me how terrible the 'competition' was by having me read their 'faulty' warranties, and sour letters from the BBB about them. I was SO FRUSTRATED. Kept looking at the clock. Let my baby sit in his poopy diaper hoping the smell would offend Mr. Lee enough into feeling compelled to close up and leave. But he REFUSED to cut his presentation short. I finally handed him back his binder of warranties and told him "I am NOT INTERESTED in all this. I want to know, bottom line, how much this project will cost me!". He took another 25 minutes to write up the estimate! $1,800 later, he wanted to write up the contract! I told him NO. I even FAKED a phone call from my husband and told him my husband says if we can't do it for less than $500 we are not interested. The Rep STILL WROTE UP the contract! Said he "Had to". WHATEVER. I was fuming mad by now, and excused myself to change my poor baby's diaper. This man could not take a HINT. Hell, he couldn't even take a blatant outright request to give me "only an estimate". He was more concerned with doing his little song & dance, so he could get 'credit' for the in-home demonstration, I'M SURE! It was offensive how inconsiderate of my time he was! Especially when I told him at the very START that I ONLY WANTED AN ESTIMATE FOR THE JOB. Nothing else. I was completely furious at the whole situation.

Don't ever request an estimate from these people unless you want to lose 2 hours of your life that you will never get back.

BUYER BEWARE! Champion OKC is a JOKE.... Don't give them the time of day. Way over priced products. Be prepared to deal with them in a USED CAR kind of way. Jacked up prices with up to 50% discounts equals the customers still gets screwed. Don't purchase anything in their showroom because you have give up your 72 hour contract calculation rights that you have if you purchase in your home. It just BAD BUSINESS...
