Great Food... Best in Ogden

We have been going to the Timber Mine since we moved here in 2000. The food is always good and the service is great. The deep fryed mushrooms are wonderful and I love the Rasberry Vingerett dressing for the salads. I also like there mud pie. Prime rib is one of there specialties but they also have chicken and a lot of other food choices. They also serve adult beverages and soda.

Timbermine's 16oz "Gold Rush" is the best filet mignon dinner buy in town. Sauteed with mushrooms and onions, baked potato and hot bread, it has everything, including plenty of leftovers and nice decor. It has real ice tea and "sweet and low." Some of its competitors only has fruit-flavored tea and/or no "sweet and low." Its only weakness is the garden salad but you can get lima bean soup as a substitute.

The food was fine but not exceptional. The service was a little slow. Very pricey. The ambiance is exceptional; make sure you take a self-guided tour of the entire place. Wow! It is said you usually pay for the food or the ambiance.
