We had a Bad experience with CitiFinancial(OneMain Financial). They accidentally took double what they were supposed to out of our Bank account. But they called us and said we missed a payment and needed to pay them. We informed them that we didn’t miss a payment they took double the amount out of our account. The assistant manager didn’t know what was going on, she had no answers to our questions, so we were worried and asked to speak with the Manager so we could be reassured this would get taken care of. She said Cale(the branch Manager) was on the phone at the time we asked to have him call us. 15min go by we call again, Cale is at lunch. 2 hours later we call again, Cale is on the phone he will call us back, 2 more hours later, we call back and are upset and want to talk to Cale, can’t talk he’s on the phone. An hour goes by he calls us back and reprimands us for not being nice to his assistant manager and accused us of saying things we didn’t say, and said he won’t help us if we keep up our attitude. We were told he had a worse financial issue than we did so we shouldn’t be so upset, he said we are handling this poorly and questioned our integrity, he said this is usually the customers error not theirs. then said he took care of this hours ago and felt he didn’t need to talk to us directly. We asked for his bosses phone number and he gave us a wrong number, so we had to call back again to get the correct number. All in All our issue is when a problem arises with your account at CitiFinancial(OneMain Financial), they won’t know what happened and won’t know how or when it will get fixed, and the managers are too above you to call and give you reassurance that things will be fixed and taken care of. We had another loan from them that we transferred out for a MUCH LOWER interest rate because we don’t feel safe having a loan with a company that has AWFUL customer service.
