I booked a trip to Costa Rica with Travel By Jen and just came home. I will start off by saying that they did ask me to write this and I am happy to do so. Many people make a point to complain when something goes wrong but few go out of their way when things go well. The trip went great. When I arrived in San Jose, I was met by the representative for the rental car within minutes and was on my way. I rented the GPS and it came in very handy. The drive to Arenal was not very difficult- If you go to Costa Rica- don't worry about renting a car. The roads are good and we really used the car quite often. I can't imagine having to rely on cabs for everything. We stayed in Arenal at the Magic Mountain hotel and everything there was very nice. The room was clean and the food was very good. We did a canopy tour and the monkey boat tour in the area and had a great time. The Los Lagos hotel where the canopy tour was was a lot of fun and we spent a few hours there in the hot springs. After Arenal, we went to the beach and stayed at an all inclusive hotel - the Occidental. We didn't stay on the hotel property too much as we went out and explored. If I go back, I would not stay all inclusive again as we are not really sit around type of people, but the time we did stay there was great. The drive from this hotel back to San Jose was a little long, but we stopped along the way and had a nice experience at the little shops on the side of the road as we went. There is a tour right near San Jose at a coffee plantation that was very interesting. The Doubletree in San Jose was very nice for our last night- make sure you eat breakfast- it is included and really good.

All in all, the trip went off without a hitch and we are planning on using Travel By Jen again.
