Run away from this guy! Dr. James K Mooney is condescending, unprofessional, and in my opinion a disgrace to the medical community. I went in to see him in August 07 with complaints of lower back pain and possible kidney stones. He buried his head in my chart for most of the consultation and then *started laughing at me* because I was not mentally prepared to have a Cystoscopy, i.e., (having a catheter/camera device inserted up my peehole and into my bladder) over my lunch hour. I do not feel that a painful medical procedure should include laughter from the attending Physician and if you are unfamiliar with this procedure and its painful side effects see:

After refusing to have the procedure done I made my way to his front office to leave Dr. Mooney continued his inappropriate laughter in front of his office staff, and made the final statement, "ha ha ha, the bigger they are". I left his office degraded, embarrassed, and no closer to having a diagnosis. Dr. Mooneys disgraceful behaviour during my consultation speaks volumes about his patient manner and lack of professionalism.



I contacted another one of his patients who made the following statement after visiting Dr. Mooney and having the camera up the peehole procedure. His response is as follows:



"Seriously, the man left me crying in a puddle of tepid water, telling me there was nothing wrong with my bladder and that I was overreacting ".
