The range is great as well, the officials maintain a safe environment and are very serious about safety. First time visitors, please understand they WILL question you previous experience to establish your weapon handling safety and knowledge.Do not take offense, its a screening practice for YOUR and the safety of all others present during your session. Darkstorm did an amazing job at re-examining the AR platform and making themselves, an excellent featureless “DS” variant, (after NY passes some of the most absurdly overly strict laws in the world) they created a firearm that even my father who was in the military said after examining it, “wow, this things made sturdier then our old M4’s in the 70’s.” I can attest these are life guns not 5 year toys. The environment is very clean and neat, the people can, it seems depending on the day/mood...either great, or you can feel talked down to, however they take safety seriously and should so even though there are a few times people are more abrasive then necessary, 90% of the time the workers are great and will explain, talk, offer help and advice. The selection is average when it comes to long guns, however VERY good for pistols. .22lr, 9mm, .32, .357, .38, .40, .44, .45 all of the essentials (perhaps even .22WMR). The long guns, they focus on 5.56/.223, .300AAC, or .308’s and shotguns. That selection is excellent, but it lacks when it comes to .22lr, .177, .243, .270, .370, or pistol carbine options, usually ones available, or they have to order. Having their own gunsmithing workshop is great, and they have one of the best handgun ranges (good to learn rifles, too short for that), excellent ventilation, lighting, automation, safe and neat. If only they started making other calibers available just even three choices. Also it gets fairly pricy, the cost may or may not be worth it, for me it is for a quality firearm. However if you want to get a Plinkster or 12 gauge pump shotgun, it maybe too expensive. However for centerfire rifles it is worth it. They also are excellent at finding congruent features and accessories for their rifles, in numerous ways that while pricey are perfect.
