They may sell the products, but do not service what they sell. We have been waiting over 7 weeks for a service appointment to fix a recurring support bracket issue with a Simplicity riding mower. This support bracket breaks almost every year (presumed design flaw). We we told that residential customers take a back seat to commercial customers. We were also told that the only way to get moved up in the service line was to get the 550 lb lawn tractor back to them on our own (other years Scotts picked up the mower after a wait of about 2 weeks, then returned after another 7-10 days for a pick up fee. Again, the same piece breaks every year, so we do this once a summer.)



At least two times, I was told that they would call back to update on the status of the repair, yet I had to consistently call them to find out status of the repair.



So if you buy a tractor from Scotts, be prepared to have serviced elsewhere because they do no sufficiently support the residential customers and do not support the mowers that they sell to non-commercial customers.
