Poor customer service at Newbold Toyota in O'fallon, Illinois. They refused to service my vehicle after giving me an appointment; having me pick up my car stating on the phone for me to take my car back to whoever repaired it in Chicago. My mom intervened because of the obvious safety issue driving four hundred miles with a broken passenger mirror. She was furious that our safety was not a concern to them. Me and my family of long term Toyota customers purchasing such vehicles as the Land cruiser, Toyota Tacoma truck, Prius, Camry and my car the Toyota Venza. What poor service!!!

Great experience

We drove 40 miles to newbold to purchase my 2014 Sr5 premium 4runner. I was very specific about price, model, and color and newbold was the only dealer who met our expectations. Our salesman was great, he gave a tour of the facility in case we ever needed to have work done. This was a plus because he knew we lived far away and still showed us around. He took the time to explain the 4runner's amenities. We will be buying from them if we purchase another toyota.

I can buy a Toyota from a lot of places. However, only one place has Sonny Swearingen. We have purchased 3 vehicles in the last 10 years and Sonny is the reason we come back to Newbold. Buying a car can be an enormous hassle, full of haggling and back and forth. Sonny is professional, courteous, experienced and a pleasure to work with. His expertise and knowledge of the vehicles, financing and related purchase items really put us at ease. I have no doubt I will be buying my next car from Sonny now that my wife has hers.

I left my bank books, a gift card and a few dollars in my vehicle I recently traded in. I called the dealership to have them check the vehicle, and after 7 hours of waiting I called back since they had not called me back. The manager (Craig)checked the vehicle and he said the books were gone. Apparently the detailer or another employee stole the books or discarded them and probably took the cash. The so called manager offered no explanation, no apology, nothing. Didn't offer to check with the guy who cleaned the car. Basically, they were gone and that was it! I didn't care about the cash, just want my bank books back. After spending $43,000 with this Dealership I am utterly disgusted with how I was treated!

DO NOT go to this dealer for service. They supposedly replaced a faulty sensor in my car with a price tag of $400. In less than 8 months the car broke down with the exact same problem. This time they claim that it is the instrument panel that failed and asked for $1,100. Either they are incompetent or they are opportunistic con artists. In addition, their service people are rude and unfriendly.

Go somewhere else. Went in for scheduled 75K mile service to include oil change and tire rotation. Owners' manual did not indicated anything else needed to be done. Vehicle was running great. Service manager told me I needed another $700+ worth of service including air conditioner, brake, fuel injector, cooling system flush, and transmission PREVENTIVE cleaning flush. As I asked questions, I got a bunch of pre-rehearsed scripted answers. I thought I was talking to politicians.

When I got home I studied owners manual more thoroughly and nowhere saw anything that indicated ANY of thes extras were needed, as the vehicle had routine services every 5K miles and was never told I had any problems. Service manager gave me a line that the previous dealer was probably "lazy". "Oil change and tire roation" wound up costing over $400.
