Henry, a long time Novato resident, realized a dream in opening Finnegan's Marin in June of 2006. Having worked in restaurants and bars during his college years in Philadelphia and his uncles Irish Pub ( P.J. Finnegan's ) in New Jersey, Henry strove to bring a warm, welcoming, neighborhood restaurant and bar where locals could gather in Novato. Henry, a longtime bond salesman in San Francisco, left the city and now owns two successful restaurants in downtown Novato, Kitchen at 868 Grant and Finnegan's. Married with two children. With over 20 years of experience in the restaurant business, Mark Edwards, a Bay Area native, is a polished and performance-driven food and beverage professional. Mark has a customer following spanning several years, a result of his professionalism and popularity during his tenure at PlumpJack Balboa Cafe, California Cafe Corporation along with Insalata's Restaurant in San Anselmo, The Buena Buena Vista in San Francisco, Habana Cuban Restaurant in San Francisco, Opening Kitchen In Novato and other Bay Area restaurants. Time spent at these highly recognized establishments, Mark became highly respected for his Selection of Cocktails, Wine and Beer, his strong rapport with customers, and his work ethic. He is well-known and respected by restaurant professionals and customers alike. Mark is operationally savvy, understanding that great design or a top notch chef are only part of what makes satisfied guests come back again and again. Mark is originally from San Rafael and now lives in Novato where he is an active volunteer and member of the community. He is involved in supporting a number of charitable causes such as Novato sports programs and all educational institutions in Novato and the Bay Area.

Good pub food. The corned bee...

Good pub food. The corned beef was very tender and the fish and chips not greasy. But the noise level on Friday in the front of the place was way too loud. They need a sound absorbing ceiling or something. Everyone was leaning across the tables trying to hear what was being said. Other than that a good casual place to eat.
