This is the best & only place I want to live. I have been here for 2 weeks & I feel i have found my forever home. The owners, Denise & Jason, are very strict but fair with their patrons & do their best to make a personall connection with each one of them. I had a bit of an issue fitting in as I was not used to a social environment but am now starting to really adapt well to the place.
All the meals are very fresh. Haley, thhe cook, is phenomenal (you gotta try her seafood casserole!). Everyone is on the same diet (unless dr ordered) which is portion controlled & diabetic friendly. Snacks are given at bedtime each night.
Everyone helps to make sure their own rooms are clean. Everyone must be ambulatory to be a resident here (walker/cane is allowed, no wheelchairs). The staff tries to promote self effeciency, to use what indepensidence one has while they still have it.
The building is a work in progress. Getting ready to expand to allot a few more people on the downstairs floor, Jay is working hard to building up that area to be open in several more months. Also all beds are waiver beds, which means no private-pay.
This place doesn't just feel like home. It is a home & the owners work hard to screen every one of their residents so that they find the perfect fit. They are also quick to remove unruly ones who are disrupting the peace & unity of the dwelling. Being one who has been in some of the worst places for people with chronic illness, I would say this is the absolute best. If I could give 10 stars I would. I have never felt more at home than I do at this time in my life.
